Our Lady of the Mission: Stained Glass WindowsOur Lady of the Mission: Tabernacle
  • Parish Evangelisation Plan

We commit ourselves as a community to place the Gospel at the centre of all that we do, and to make explicit this Gospel wherever possible.

We commit ourselves in each group of our parish to reflect on this mission and to renew what we do in light of it.

We commit ourselves individually to participate in this mission, allowing the Gospel to penetrate our own hearts, and to live so as to be heralds of Jesus and his Gospel to others.

  • Welcome

We are a Roman Catholic Community here in the northern suburbs of Perth metro, located in Craigie, Western Australia. We gather around, and in, the name of Jesus Christ with whom and through whom we worship and celebrate the Church Sacraments as well as reach out to all the diverse men and women of our parish community, young and old alike. We pride ourselves in having dozens of parish ministries that respond to the diverse needs of our parish community - spiritual, social, intellectual among others. We represent over seventy nationalities in the parish making us one of the most diverse Catholic communities here in the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth, and possibly Australia. Our two school - Whitford Catholic Primary and Padbury Catholic Primary - are the testament of an ever-growing Catholic identity that we are truly proud of. With my assistant priest, we provide pastoral assistance to Sacred Heart College (Sorrento) and to Prendiville Catholic College (Ocean Reef) enabling us to keep in touch with our Catholic families through the faith and moral support we offer their children in these campuses. I am truly humbled to be leading this wonderful Catholic parish community that has shaped its history since October 1974 when it received its first priest Father Nick McSweeney. I am indebted to all the parish priests, assistant priests, and lay faithful men and women who have shaped OLM. Together with current and future members of the OLM community, we hope to build on these strong foundations for a more relevant Catholic community that is truly centred on the person of Jesus Christ. So, I welcome you, your family, friends and colleagues to joins us, regardless of your faith journey. Your voice, your stories, your presence and your participation are important to us. Come share yours with us as we share ours with you. Welcome aboard! Fr Cyprian M Shikokoti Parish Priest.
